You Are My Favourite Place

Hello there!

First off, I want to apologise for not posting last week, things have been really stressful yet again with college so I haven't been very organised with blog posts, I'm sorry!!!

So the other day I went to town before my classes, and took a cheeky trip to Topshop and was instantly grasped by their Matte Nails collection, which I featured a couple of posts ago, and I thought I'd show you how I used the Milk and Honey colour, which is white.

I'm a huge fan of the odd nail, and since it's less than a week to Paris I thought I'd try out a Breton style.

I applied two coats of the nail polish, then used a Barry M nail art pen to draw the stripes. (I only managed to do the stripes on one hand because I'm absolutely useless with my left hand!)

I hope you liked this, let me know in the comments!

Thank you

I Wanna Hold Your Hand So Tight I'm Gonna Break My Wrist

Hello there!

If you follow my Instagram you really should) you'll have seen that recently I went on a bit of a thrifting-frenzy and got myself a lot of rings, and I love them all so I thought I'd share them with you!

The first 2 are this lip ring and this black one with 3 spikes across the top.

I finally gave in and bought a hand chain, but unfortunately my middle finger is a bit too chubby to fit it on, so I had to improvise.

I thought this boat ring was really sweet, and I love the colours on it, and the other one is just a simple ring perfect for stacking.

This ones beefy! It's huge! It has hinges in two places so it bends over the knuckle and looks so badass!

This one reminds me of dragons, and everyone loves a bit of sparkle!

Now I think the two headed monkey ring is my favourite, I haven't seen anything like it before and I like that the heads are different colours. The middle one is again just a simple one for stacking, as is the third one, and it has a dangly bright blue rose, which I think gives it a quirky edge.

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know if you have a favourite in the comments!

Thank you

Contagious Chemistry

Hello there!

Last Monday I made a cheeky trip to town before my college classes and decided to treat myself a little bit (I'll post a haul later in the week). Of course I found myself in Topshop and ended up overwhelmed  in the makeup section, so I bought a couple of the matte nail polishes; Rendez Vous and Milk and Honey. (Both £6)

I fell straight in love with Rendez Vous, a gorgeous pale pastel-y lilac colour, and the fact that it has a matte finish makes it so much cuter.

Let me know in the comments if you've tried any of the Topshop matte nail polishes and what you thought!

Thank you

Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop

Hello there!

I may or may have not mentioned that at the beginning of April I'm off to Paris, and it is the perfect excuse to do a bit of shopping, so I thought I'd put together a 'Paris Wishlist' featuring a few pieces I reeeeeally want for this trip.

1) The Topshop hooded lightweight jacket in blue, a perfect casual jacket to throw over an outfit if the weather turns rainy (which it most likely will) £60
2) I've mentioned these before, but I love the Maddy holographic boots from Boohoo.com, I've seen Melonlady wear them and they look incredible! £35
3) The MOM jeans are making another appearance, this time in a slightly darker colour to the ones I have, but I really like the shade of these ones, for me they have a slightly more  vintage feel. £40
4) Now I know I've featured these before, but I want them so bad! The monochrome check print leggings from New Look are so cute, and a really good price! £12.99
5) New Look strikes again, I have a really big thing for white chunky sandals at the moment, and these are a prime example of why, they're so cool! £29.99
6) Jewellery now, and I adore this pentagram necklace from Kukee, their jewellery is always on point and so affordable! £2.50 (an absolute steal!)
7) No one can go anywhere without a tartan or checked flannel, and I'm no exception. I found this on Nasty Gal and I'm in love, it looks so comfortable and has such a vintage feel. £25.20
8) You can't go to Paris without a slouchy striped t-shirt, and I thought this one from Topshop was perfect for the occasion. £40
9) Another slouchy top now, this time in pink from New Look. I think this top would go perfectly with the check print leggings mentioned above and I'm dying to get my hands on it. £12.99
10) Finally, a little bit of something silly, but I saw the Sighh phone case Amy Valentine bought and thought it was too cute and now I'd love one for myself, especially this donut one

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know what you think in the comments!

A Little Piece of Heaven (February Faves)

Hello there!

I know it's almost the middle of April, but here are some of my February favourites!

Firstly, my fashion favourites; my number one purchase last month was this checked t-shirt/smock dress from New Look, I've worn it pretty much every week since I bought it, and I'm not normally a dressy person, but this one is just so comfy!
(sorry for the quality of the photo, it was a quick OOTD on my phone)

I'm going to class the next one as fashion, because technically it is; my Drop Dead Oskar onesie!

Things have been pretty stressful lately with college and life in general, and this is a great thing to throw on and snuggle up in after a long day, plus its super cute.

On to beauty/hair type things now, and I've been adoring the pigtail buns that have been floating around a lot of blogs lately, as seen in Helen Melonlady's tutorial (here). However, these buns require a middle parting, something I really wasn't into, but after giving it a try I can't get enough!

Instant style update!

Music wise, I've been spending the majority of my time on 8tracks.com (totally not listening to playlists about Michael Clifford...), which is a great way to find new music, and remember the old stuff! Because of that I started listening to the following bands/songs;

Animal -The Cab
Temporary Bliss - The Cab

Thnks fr th Mmrs - Fall Out Boy

Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus

I've also been listening to more and more of Patty Walters' covers as well as his band AS IT IS, which I highly recommend you check out!

Last but CERTAINLY not least, 5 Seconds of Summer. I saw them live when they supported One Direction on the Take Me Home Tour and they were fantastic, but I have to say, their new single She Looks So Perfect had me hooked from the start, it's fantastic!

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know what you think in the comments!
Thank you!

Shoeniverse SS14

Hello there!

Missguided have recently released their Shoeniverse lookbook, and I thought I'd share with you guys my favourite bits from it! Enjoy!

Once again I've veered more towards the black pieces in the collection, something that I guess is never going to change! I love the block heels that are really popular this season, I find them so classy and fun.

What are your favourite pairs from this collection?

I hope you enjoyed this!

I'm Low On Gas and You Need a Jacket

Hello there!

More monochrome and more pink today, with some baby blue thrown in!

Keeping it quite simple with this one, lots of black but a few colourful pieces, because as you probably know, I'm loving pink as of late. I saw this coat in one of Fashion Train's posts and thought it was so cute! (and I'm a sucker for a coat)

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know what you think in the comments!

Thank you

#COWFREE40

Hello there!

Today is pancake day, hurrah! But for a lot of people, religious or not, that means lent starts on Wednesday. Personally, I'm completely non religious, but I do like to participate in lent because I like the idea of giving something up for a period of time, purely to see if I can do it. A few years ago I gave up cheese (total cheese fiend me) and lasted 38 days, and this year I'm planning on cutting out anything that comes from cows, so milk, cheese (sob, goodbye pizza), butter and of course, beef.

I've been thinking of becoming vegetarian for a while now, and contemplated vegan, so I thought this would be a good way to try it out. I understand that this isn't something for everyone, but I want to document my progress with this, so I'll be using the hashtag #COWFREE40 on Instagram to show how I'm doing and what alternatives I'll be using. Feel free to join in if it's something you're interested in participating in!

Let me know what you think in the comments!
Thank you

I Want It All

Hello there!

New month, new things to lust after, so that's what's going to happen today; Lust List #2!

At the beginning of April I'm off to Paris for the weekend, so I've been looking more for clothes for that, because lets face it, a trip anywhere requires new clothes!

1) First off, I'm always looking for a new bag, and this one is perfect for travelling. It's the Double Zip Luggage bag from Topshop. £50
2) I'm a sucker for a chunky sandal at the minute, and I love these white ones from Missguided, brilliant for the summer, so hopefully I'll be investing in a pair of these soon! £28.99
3) Yes, it's another bag, but it's from Drop Dead so how can you not lust after it?! I adore Drop Dead, even though it is a little over priced (in my opinion) £50
4) New Look have really grabbed my attention recently, their new season stock is outstanding! I have this dress in monochrome, but I was having a wander round the other day and say it in green and fell in love. If it is anything like the monochrome one it is one of the comfiest and effortlessly stylish dresses I've ever come across! £22.99
5) New Look again! This top is so cute, and so on trend, and when paired with the matching skirt would create an amazing co-ord, perfect for Paris! £12.99
6) I have a feeling this jumper would go with the skirt as well, and I love a comfy sweat shirt! £14.99
7) Finally, the skirt! I adore this skirt for so many reasons, and it's another this I saw last time I went into town. Paris here I come!
