There Is a Light and it Never Goes Out

Howdy!
I hope you had a very merry christmas and are planning a fun filled new year (I know I am!)
First off, quick apology about the state of the clothes in this outfit post, my iron's been playing up something awful!
These jeggings are from George at Asda, and for me are a great alternative to the mom jean from Topshop, not only in price, but because of my body shape they look almost the same. The lightness of the denim gives a great vintage feel, and this outfit has a real This is England feel about it. I bought this cropped tshirt from Topshop during one of my many raids, and because of the high waisted nature of the jeans it covers any bits that make you feel a little uncomfortable, especially, if like me, you've overdone it over the holiday season.
Once again I've put my River Island boots on with this outfit, and if I were to venture outside, which is highly improbable, I would put this Adidas sweat top over it, as the style of it adds to the This is England feel. Finally, I put on this chunky gold chain to tie in with the gold buckles on the shoes.

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know in the comments, and Happy New Year!
Thank You
Toni xo

Can You Hear the Silence

Howdy and Merry Christmas!

I've waited until the last possible moment to dig out my winter knits, but I'm so glad I pulled this one out of my wardrobe! My grandma knitted this aran cardigan yonks ago for my grandpa and it just happened to make its way into my wardrobe and I love it. For college I paired it with a red skater skirt from Primark and my utterly beautiful Bring Me The Horizon band shirt that I bought when I went to one of the intimate Sempiternal release gigs at Nottingham Rescue Rooms. For footwear I once again raided the wardrobe of my elders and borrowed my dads brown lace up Timberland shoes, and wore them with my blue lacey socks from Topshop. Seeing as this outfit was for college, I had to take a bag to keep all my college related crap in, and my bag of choice at the minute is my vintage Radley rucksack that I picked up from yet another car boot sale for an absolute steal.
I hoped you enjoyed this outfit post, let me know in the comments.
Thank you

Home for Christmas

Howdy!
Yesterday I had the chance to revisit one of my favourite places on Earth; The Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, and is was truly magical (duh!)
My friends family took me last year as a birthday present, and they were kind enough to take me with them again this year for Hogwarts at Christmas, which was amazing. As we walked into the entrance there was a giant christmas tree covered in snow and beautiful lights (picture 1)
We then got to the Great Hall and it was all decked out for a Hogwarts style christmas feast (picture 2), and there were decorations and trees and other wonderful christmasy things.

As well as the Great Hall, there were other sets made up to look like they do during the christmas season at Hogwarts, just like the Gryffindor common room (below).

For me, the most memorable bit will always be the scale model of the castle, and seeing it covered in snow was so beautiful I may or may not have cried a bit, it really was one of the best days of my life and I will almost definitely be going again at some point, even if its only to visit the gift shop (one of the best bits).

I hope you enjoyed this, let me know in the comments!
Thank you

If I Crash on Your Couch Can I Sleep in My Clothes

Howdy!
Another outfit post today, as I thought I'd air this dress that I bought from New Look in the summer, but had no where to wear it until recently, when I wore it to my friends birthday meal at Zizzi's. Unfortunately it's a little tight, so I wore my United Colours of Benetton black shirt over it, which looked great! Over the top of the outfit I had my oversized boyfriend coat and my Asos collar, to keep warm, and I love the combination of the two, it makes the coat a lot classier.
Jewellery-wise I wore my chunky leopard necklace from New Look, as they dark colours underneath tie in with the coat, shirt and shoes, my thrifted chunky chain bracelet and a thumb ring that I 'borrowed' from my grandma. When I went out in this I wore my River Island boots (surprise surprise) but for the purposes of this outfit I paired it with a black pair of high heeled lace up boots.

I hope you liked this post!
Thank you

Manage Me, I'm A Mess

Howdy!
Firstly, I would like to apologise for not posting in forever, but it's coursework time at college and I got a bit snowed under, however, I'm on top of it now (touch wood!) so I'll be able to post more on here.
Anyway, I thought I'd do an outfit post today, as I went and did a bit of christmas shopping last week and came away with a few cheeky purchases for myself. I also ordered a few pieces from the Kukee website, one for my best friends christmas present and a few for myself, like this bird skull necklace. The jewellery from there is such high quality, and so cute and affordable too, which is brilliant.
During my christmas shopping trip I picked up this dress from New Look, and I love it! It's so on trend with the tartan pattern and the pleather collar and cuffs. I'd put it with my trusty leather jacket that I got last year from River Island, as it goes perfectly with the punk trend that I'm head over heals for. I'd also add on my Asos collar as it is getting very chilly in the UK now unfortunately.
Another purchase I made was some more of the adorable lace-topped socks from Topshop, 3 pairs in fact oops! I bought a couple of scrunchies from Topshop, this red velvet one and a PU mustard one, which I won't be taking off for a long time, they're so adorable! Finally, I would finish this outfit off with my River Island cut out boots that I bought a few months ago, which go so nicely with the socks.

I hope you like this style of outfit post, I thought I'd give it a shot seeing as I'm not overly comfortable with the selfie style.
Thank you

Home Is Where The Heart Is

Howdy!
A few weeks ago I made a post about the things I was lusting after for christmas, but it turn out my dad has (very kindly) agreed to fund the redecoration of my bedroom...after a long 4 years of it being half decorated and pink and blue.
So to help the creative process that is redecorating, I decided to make a kind of mood board of the sort of thing I wanted, and share it with you! The walls are going to be grey, black and cream, so then I can add any accent colours I want, and it'll make it easier to redecorate again in the future. I absolutely fell in love with these curtains from H&M Home, as I thought they suited me perfectly and just looked gorgeous, especially when put against a cream background. Another thing I fell in love with was this cat throw from Urban Outfitters (which has finally built a store in Nottingham, score!) It's a little on the pricey side but it's just so cute!
The rest of these images I found on Tumblr (you can find me here) and Google images.
When I go looking for things for my room, the first item on my list will be a clothes rail, like the ones featured above, as they are really cute, and they make getting ready in the morning so much easier, not to mention the fact that they can show off the best pieces in your wardrobe to everyone. Second it will be a vintage Persian rug, as I'm planning on having old floorboards instead of carpet this time.
This is a bit different to the kind of thing I've been posting, and I'll keep you updated with the redecorating in the future yay!
Thank you

My Bones Catch A Fever

Howdy!
Welcome to my first (sort of) outfit post, and once again I am going to apologise for the quality of my images, but lets face it there is only so much you can do with an iPhone camera.
So today I seem to be channeling my inner Zoella, what with the wonderful Christmas leggings I picked up yesterday from Peacocks, and apart from they being a little on the thin side (and the fact that they're pyjamas) they're perfect for this winter season. I teamed them with a sleeveless blue Primark shirt that I 'borrowed' from my grandma, which I really like, especially the little pink under collar (I've tucked it in in these pictures but it's really cute) and the pink bow. Because of the weather, I put my oversized black jumper on over it that I bought from a carboot sale, and is originally from Topman. This might just be one of my favourite jumpers, it's just so cosy and warm and it goes with just about anything.
On my lips I'm wearing my new Topshop lipstick in Straight Ace that I featured in my haul last week. When I bought this I was looking for a really bright, popping purple colour, and thats what it looked to be on the website, but when it arrived it turned out to be darker that it was in the pictures, but I actually really like it, even though I'm not sure if it suits me or not.

I hope you liked this! Thank you.

Baby It's Cold Outside

Howdy!
Winter is officially setting in now, what with the nights drawing in and the fact that it is getting sooooo cold outside, so I decided it was time to dig out my winter coat (or one of them). I bought this beauty last January from Drop Dead in preparation for my trip to Poland and apart from the one day we spent walking around Auschwitz it kept me incredibly warm. This picture doesn't show it very well but the faux fur trim on the hood is actually dip dyed and is the most gorgeous shades of grey and lilac. The patches on the sleeve give it just that little bit of personality that is needed with a coat like this, and of course there is the signature Drop Dead cat on the label, which I love. I bought it in what I thought would be a size bigger than I was at the time, but it turns out that was huge, so there's a lot of space in it, which is great for those bitter winter days when at least two jumpers are needed.
Just thought I'd share this with you, I hope you like it!
Thank you

A Sprinkle of Christmas Wishes

Howdy!
Since halloween is now over, I thought I'd get started on Christmas, as it is now just around the corner. This is just a snippet of what I'm lusting after this christmas, and it doesn't include all the albums and box sets I want.
(L-R)
1) Monokeros jumper from Drop Dead, which I think is just too cute! 2) Misha Bomber from The Ragged Priest 3) Textured Fur Lined Coat from Topshop, the perfect winter coat in my opinion, especially if the weather we're having at the moment plans on getting worse! 4) SERENA boots from Dr Martens, again, perfect for winter 5) I love a good Christmas jumper, and I think this knitted stag crest one from Topshop is beautiful 6) Flower of Life ring from Hunter Gatherer jewellery, which I love because it reminds me of the Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon album cover

I hope you enjoyed this!

In This Town Of Halloween

Howdy!
I know that Halloween was yesterday, but I'm celebrating with my friends tonight, so to go with my awesome costume (sourced from Topshop of course) I thought I'd do some halloween themed nails.
For these I used Rimmel 60 second nail polishes and a nail art nail polish from Boyes, which was only £1! The 60 second nail polishes are my favourite brand of polish, mostly because I'm impatient and can't be bothered to wait for them to dry. For the base I used the (800) Black Cab polish, and for the blood drips I used (310) Red Carpet, which has a little bit of sparkle in it, because who doesn't like sparkles?! The cross was done using a white nail art polish that I picked up in Boyes in one of my free periods, and to be honest I wasn't expecting a lot, but I'm actually really impressed by it! The brush is really thin which meant I could do the cross easily, and its safe to say I'll be using this a lot more in the future. Finally, I applied a clear topcoat to keep it all in place.

I hope you enjoyed this and happy (belated) halloween!!

Discounts are my friend (a small haul)

Howdy!
Well it's safe to say that I took full advantage of my student discounts this week...oops! There were also a few sales/offers that i was VERY happy about, so I took advantage of those as well. To get the discounts, I used the website UNIDAYS, which gives you discounts from a  variety of stores, and its free! I highly recommend UNIDAYS, even if you do have an NUS card, as it also has competitions to win a large number of prizes, which are mostly money to spend at a store, which is great!
Moving on, during this little spree, I bought a number of small items for myself, as well as being uber organised and getting a few Christmas presents.
1) Asos faux fur collar  2) Topshop lipstick in Straight Ace 3) Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate and Cherry Me, Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder in Silky Beige 4) Topshop ankle socks; pink frilly, blood drip and skeleton print (to go with my halloween costume!) 5) an adorable little elephant ring stand from Urban Outfitters, my best friend for christmas, which I unfortunately can't find the link for

Ah, the infamous first post...

Howdy!
So, hey I guess... this is my first time ever doing something like this, but I've been reading and following blogs for a while now and thought it looked like fun! From the off, I'm going to put it out there that I don't profess to have any know-how in terms of fashion, it's just something I enjoy and am becoming more and more interested in. Also, I'm going to apologize
in advance for the quality of most of the photos, they will have been taken on either my iPhone 3gs (its ancient) or my Packard Bell laptop.
Anyway, after all that boring stuff, I just wanted to say hey and welcome to my blog! Thank you and stay classy.
